Monitoring temperature, humidity, lux and UV radiation with WiFi data logger testo 160 E

The easy-to-use WiFi data logger testo 160 E adapts perfectly to your climate monitoring requirements. It offers 2 connection options for probes (please order separately) for temperature, humidity, lux or lux and UV radiation.

Measurement data is stored by the data logger via your WLAN directly to the testo Cloud. If limit values are exceeded, you will be notified immediately by email or (optionally) SMS thanks to the alarm function. You can access all measuring values and analysis functions at any time and from anywhere with an internet-capable smartphone, tablet or PC.

The WiFi data logger testo 160 E – adaptable and discreet

The small dimensions of the testo 160 E (64 x 76 x 22 mm) and its simple design enable it to be positioned easily in an exhibition or display cabinet. In conjunction with the optionally available customisable deco-cover (see accessories), the data logger can be adapted to blend in with the surroundings and therefore remains inconspicuous. This means your exhibits will always be the focus.

Perfectly networked: with the WiFi data logger testo 160 E and the testo Cloud

The testo Cloud is the core operating element of the testo 160 data logger range. You can use the testo 160 E to store your measurement data in the testo Cloud via an available WLAN. Here you can configure your WiFi data loggers, set limit value alarms and analyze your measurement data.

You must first register at www.museum.saveris.net to have access to the testo Cloud. Installing the system is simple and can be carried out either via a browser or with the testo Saveris 2 App for IOS and Android.

Depending on the desired range of functions, you have a choice between the free Basic and more extensive Advanced functionality for use of the testo Cloud. You can use the Advanced functionality, for example, to create up to 10 users per account or set an SMS alarm if limit values are exceeded.

Areas of application for the WiFi data logger testo 160 E: museums, archives and storage depots

Reliably measure the temperature and humidity, lux and UV radiation in the display cabinet or exhibition room at all times. The WiFi data logger can be combined with separately available connectable probes to suit your monitoring requirements. The testo 160 E can be easily positioned even in small display cabinets, as it is ideal for installation in the cabinet base. The professional WiFi data logger testo 160 E is optimised for applications relating to the monitoring of ambient conditions in museums, galleries or other exhibition venues. It can be used to reliably protect your sensitive and valuable exhibits against damage.

Further advantages and functions of the WiFi data logger testo 160 E

The internal data store capacity of the WiFi data logger is 40,000 measuring values, and the housing is protected according to IP20. The standard batteries have a lifetime of 12 months and can be replaced at any time by users. Alternatively, the data logger can also be operated without batteries using a mains unit (please order separately) via the USB interface provided.

Programming and analysis with the temperature data logger

You need software for programming and reading your temperature data logger and analyzing measurement data on the PC. We offer three different software versions for you to choose from:

• ComSoft Basic software – available as a free download – enables fast programming of the data logger and easy measurement data analysis.
• ComSoft Professional software – available as an option – offers a variety of possibilities for detailed analysis of measurement results.
• ComSoft CFR 21 Part 11 software – available as an option – can be used for special requirements according to CFR 21 Part 11 in the pharmaceutical sector

State-of-the-art technology. High level of data security

The logger’s display provides you with a wide range of valuable information including current measurement values, threshold values, points where these thresholds have been exceeded, min/max values and remaining battery power. And because all these values can be read off directly from the display, there is no need for you to boot up your PC. In addition, the logger also has a large memory, which can save up to 1 million measurements, and an exceptionally long battery life of up to 3 years. This gives you the freedom to read out the logger data at longer intervals, even when measuring cycles are shorter.

Programming and analyzing your data logger

Choose one of three software versions to program or read out your temperature logger or to analyze the measuring data you have obtained on your PC:

• Software ComSoft Basic – available for free downloading – allows you to program your logger and analyze the data quickly and easily
• Software ComSoft Professional – optional – provides you with additional possibilities and a more detailed analysis of the temperature values
• Software ComSoft CFR 21 Part11 – optional – ideal for the special demands of the pharmaceutical sector in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11

Food thermometer and infrared thermometer rolled into one

The testo 104-IR is equipped with a high-precision 2-point laser and 10:1 optics which show the exact measurement range and allow you to carry out quick and accurate non-contact surface temperature measurements. The 2-in-1 thermometer is especially useful for checking incoming goods and for scanning the surface temperature of individual food products as well as whole pallets.

The folding probe thermometer is used to measure the core temperature of food products like meat and sausage meat for example. It generally comes into play when the infrared surface measurements are not within the prescribed thresholds. The probe can be folded away when not in use to protect against breakage.

Quick and easy to use. Tried and tested in the field

The food thermometer is immediately activated when the probe sensor is folded down. Simply press a key to start the infrared measurement. The results are presented on a large, easy-to-read display. Because the keys themselves are easy to understand, there is no need to instruct individuals on how to use the thermometer. Last but by no means least, the food safety infrared thermometer is waterproof and IP65 rated.
